Nonstop flights from the UK and Germany
These are the nonstop routes the airlines themselves list for winter 2026/27. Schedules move, so treat the days below as a guide and confirm on the airline's site before you book.
- London Heathrow: Virgin Atlantic starts a seasonal Heathrow–Phuket service on 18 October 2026, three times a week (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from London), on a Boeing 787-9.
- London Gatwick: TUI's winter 2026/27 programme adds a weekly Gatwick–Phuket flight. Check with TUI whether a flight-only fare is offered.
- Frankfurt: Condor's own page lists daily nonstop flights from Frankfurt to Phuket for the 2026/27 seasons, on an Airbus A330-900neo.
- Zurich: Edelweiss lists nonstop Zurich–Phuket flights from October 2026, which is useful if you are in southern Germany or Switzerland.
We found no nonstop Munich–Phuket flight on an airline's own pages, so plan on one change of planes from Munich.
Where you'll change planes
Most travellers from the UK and Germany connect once. Three hubs are the usual choices, and each airline's own pages list its Phuket flights.
- Dubai: Emirates flies several times a day between Dubai and Phuket.
- Doha: Qatar Airways flies Doha–Phuket and sells the journey from London.
- Istanbul: Turkish Airlines flies Istanbul–Phuket several times a day, with a London–Phuket fare page.
A single ticket across the whole journey protects you if the first flight is late and you miss the second. If you book two separate tickets, leave a long gap between them.
From London
London is the one place with more than one nonstop option this winter. Compare a nonstop against a one-stop fare through Dubai, Doha or Istanbul, then weigh the hours you save against the price difference.
From Manchester and the regions
We did not find a nonstop Manchester–Phuket flight in an airline timetable, so expect one stop. Emirates, Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines connect through their hubs, and Emirates, for example, lists a Birmingham–Phuket fare page.
From Germany
Frankfurt is the simplest: Condor flies it nonstop. From Munich, Düsseldorf and other cities you connect, either on to Frankfurt or through a Gulf hub or Istanbul. If you are near Zurich, the Edelweiss nonstop is worth a look.
Krabi, the other airport
Krabi (KBV) also works for Khao Lak, but it is further away than Phuket. Phuket is the simpler choice for most trips.
When nonstops run
Several of the nonstop routes above are seasonal and built around winter, which is also when Khao Lak's weather and the Similan Islands season are at their best, from mid-October to mid-May. Outside those months, expect a connection.
After you land
The drive from Phuket airport to Khao Lak is roughly 70 to 80 km and takes 1 to 1.5 hours. There is no public bus going north, so plan the transfer before you fly, especially for a late-evening arrival.
